Hyundai HE1i and Honda Zero Alpha EVs Confirmed for India Launch

CarToq reported on 19 October that Hyundai's HE1i and Honda's Zero Alpha electric SUVs were due in India by December 2026. Update, 29 Oct: the HE1i debut is now expected in January 2027.

• Update, 29 Oct 2026: Autocar India reports the Hyundai HE1i's official debut is now expected in January 2027, later than the end-of-2026 timeline indicated earlier.
• Hyundai HE1i, a sub-4-metre EV, was expected to launch in India by December 2026 (CarToq, 19 Oct).
• The Hyundai HE1i is expected to offer 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery options with a claimed range of over 450-500 km.
• Honda's first electric SUV for India, the Zero Alpha, is confirmed for launch by December 2026.
